COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

12th April 2021 / WE ARE READY TO WELCOME YOU BACK TO OUR CLINICS

We are excited to announce that we are slowly re-opening and ready to welcome you back to our clinics. We are hopeful that all our hard work, preparations and strict preventive measures will be welcomed by you to keep you and members of our team healthy and safe. 


Our surgeons, clinicians and medical experts have been continuously following the epidemic guidelines from the Government and the General Medical Council and adopted our clinics and treatments accordingly. Your Safety is our priority so please read our safeguarding guide before visiting our premises again. We truly can’t wait to see you! 


In line with Government and Public Health England guidelines relating to the current COVID-19 / CORONAVIRUS situation, we have in place strict processes and procedures to keep everyone as safe as possible.


  • Your Appointment


Pre-appointment courtesy call - each client booked in for an appointment will receive a call from us before their appointment to find out if they are not experiencing any known symptoms of Covid-19 or if they haven't travelled abroad in the last 14 days.


Any staff who are feeling unwell, are showing symptoms or anyone in their household is, will be asked not to come to work. We kindly request that all clients follow the same guideline and do not attend the clinic. We will be understand if appointments need to be moved. 


Temperature check - a no-contact infrared thermometer will be used on arrival to check the temperature of anyone entering the clinic. 


Sanitisation - All clients will be asked to use some hand sanitiser provided before filling out consents on the iPad and sitting down.


Staggered appointments - we will be staggering appointments to limit the number of people in the clinic at any one time. Please arrive on time or we may need to shorten your treatment time. Please come along to your appointment unless necessary.  


  •  During your treatment
     

Staff personal protection equipment - all staff will wear appropriate PPE including face masks, face shields and gloves and have undergone a thorough Covid-19 specific training program. All our staff will sanitise before your appointment and regularly throughout the day. 


  •  Cleaning
     

Deep cleaning of the clinic - our professional cleaners are deep cleaning the clinics regularly and their cleaning products have been changed to virucidal from now on.
 

Covid-19 cleaning schedule - in addition to our already thorough cleaning protocol, we have added extra cleaning measures throughout the day to ensure all touchpoints are sanitised between each client.
 

     

  • Waiting for area / Reception
     

 Sanitising station - upon entering our clinic you will be invited to use an alcohol hand sanitiser, tissues and a face mask if required.
 

 Limited space in the waiting area - we will do our best to invite you straight into the treatment room to minimise the number of people in the waiting area at the same time. Please arrive on your own.

 

 Reception safety - sadly, no more handshakes and hugs, but we will still provide a warm welcome and smile. You can help yourself to bottled water in our fridge. We will not have any skincare testers in the reception area but please still feel free to ask your therapist about products and they can let you feel them in a safe controlled way. We also removed all magazines from our waiting area

Covid-19 update / January 04th 2021

Dear Clients / Patients 


Following this evening announcement from the Prime Minister that England will enter higher Covid-19 Restrictions, effective immediately, we hope that everyone is staying home and staying safe. 


While our clinic will remain close during this 3rd National Lockdown, we will still be available for you via phone and online for all your inquiries. 


We recognise that some treatments and services we provide here at Mayfair MediSpa are seen as very important for self-esteem, confidence, and psychological well-being. 


For patients who find it hard to cope with Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and for those anxious about interruptions to their treatment plan, we created a unique patient's support line / online counselling that will soon be available for you 24/7 during the lockdown. 


Virtual Consultations will also be available for all clients, considering post-lockdown treatments, Skin Care for at-home delivery, and Gift Vouchers. 


Please be aware that our online booking diary will be blocked for treatments until February 23rd, inclusive. However, you will still be able to use our online booking system to book your virtual consultation or reserve your urgent medical appointment from Saturday, February 20th, 2021. 


We hope to update you ASAP with re-opening details, and we'll keep you entertained on our social media in the meantime.

Covid-19 update - stay safe

Dear Clients, 

Due to the rise of the Covid-19 infection rate in London and Tier 4 restrictions, we are postponing all appointments at our Wigmore Street branch for January and until further notice. Q & A

Q: I have Laser Hair Removal at your clinic. May I continue in Tier 4?

A: If you are having treatment for purely cosmetic or beauty reasons, your appointment must remain on hold until the lockdown is lifted and other 'personal care services' are re-opened. 

Q: My last Laser Hair Removal treatment was 12 weeks ago, are there any adverse reactions?

A: Keeping your Laser Hair Removal course up to date and in line with regular sessions, 4 -8 weeks apart, is recommended for the smooth running of your course and achieving a hair-free goal swiftly. With our state of art Medical lasers, every session will give you PERMANENT hair reduction ( minimum 10%), which is not reversible once you stop treatments. Tree months gap will not affect your results but will only delay the time needed to complete your hair-free goal. 



Q Due to the lockdown, I missed my regular laser Hair Removal Session. Do I need to start the new co

A: Once we have killed a hair follicle in the active growth, it is dead and will never come back. Four weeks is the earliest we can treat again between laser sessions, and we have to wait for the hair to do a full growth cycle and be in the active growth phase again. Leaving longer gaps between appointments, such as during lockdown periods, will not have any adverse effects on your treatment. 


All of the hairs previously killed from the laser will remain dead and can not come back to life. After four weeks, you may notice there is slightly more hair than what you are used to between appointments; this is due to multiple hair cycles being active at one time. These are not new hairs. We will pick up right where we left off when we can continue treatments.


 

Q: Face & Body Hair affects my confidence, can I continue with my treatments?

A: We recognize that some treatments we provide are seen as very important for self-esteem, confidence, and psychological well-being. For those who are anxious about interruptions to their treatment plan and not in a position to reschedule for after the lockdown, we will be available to offer limited appointments, subject to assessment, and for those who have an urgent need for treatment and care. 

Q: I am suffering from excess hair growth. Stopping my course of treatments cause me anxiety

A: If you feel that rescheduling (canceling) your appointment causing you stress and anxiety, or if you suffer from excess hair growth that causes you a lack of confidence, depression, or any other psychological impacts, please get in touch with us. We will do our best to assess your situation and, if approved by our Doctor / Medical Director, accommodate you in consideration of your psychological well-being. 

Q: I suffer from Polycystic Ovaries. Can my Laser Hair Removal be continued?

A: if you suffer from any following medical conditions that cause excessive hair growth like :

  • Folliculitis, 
  • Hormonal Unbalance, 
  • Cushing’s Syndrome ( it can be developed when the body is exposed to the high levels of the hormone cortisol), 
  • POS Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, commonly known as PCOS, 
  • Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, 
  • Hirsutism ( excessive body hair in man or woman on parts of the body where the hair is typically absent or minimal)

As a consultant - doctor founded group of medical aesthetic clinics, it is of utmost importance that we provide you with the safest and most hygienic treatment conditions and the highest standard of clinical care. We maintain strict Covid - 19 compliant measures to provide assurance that you and our medical team are protected at all times.


While we are upholding our duty in protecting public health, we would like to encourage all of our patients to stay at home during the lockdown, including those patients who work locally but feel that they can wait until December to continue their course of treatments, to do so.

THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF SAFETY AND HYGIENE 


In light of COVID-19, we are introducing our new Increased Care Standards to give you peace of mind when you next visit us in clinic, knowing that we are providing the highest levels of safety and hygiene to protect the wellbeing of both patients and colleagues.


  • Medical Clinic - Our clinics are founded by Harley Street Surgeon and run by Aesthetic Medical Professional and Doctor on site. All our Surgeons and Doctors are GMC registered while ensure that our facilities and health services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care. All re-opened clinic locations have been risk assessed to ensure we have a safe environment


  • Testing - We are providing our employees with daily COVID-19 temperature testing to be able to triage prior to starting work daily to protect the safety of our patients and other colleagues.  


  • Pre-appointment - You will need to have an appointment to be able to come into our clinics. We ask that you attend alone wherever possible and limit the number of personal items you bring. Please don’t wear jewellery and if you’re discussing a facial procedure, please remove all make-up in advance. We will also ask you a set of screening questions prior to your appointment and you will receive a contactless temperature check on arrival.


  • Social Distancing - We are adjusting our clinics to accommodate social distancing with glass shields where required and 2 metre spacing. We will also stagger appointment times to reduce the number of patients in reception at any one time. 


  • Hand Hygiene - We are enforcing strict hand hygiene for all employees and patients requiring them to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds before all appointments, and any activity that could result in hands becoming contaminated. All clinics will also be fitted with hand sanitising dispensers for patient use, on arrival and before leaving. 


  • PPE - Our employees will all be wearing appropriate PPE equipment offering protection for them and our patients. This will vary depending on the nature of the procedure, in surgery we have upgraded to adhere to the new guidelines which includes full surgical gowns and face visors. 


  • Cleaning & Disinfecting - We use high grade disinfectant and are introducing more frequent and thorough cleaning in our clinics, with 15 minutes built in between each appointment to clean our consultation rooms before the next patient arrives. 


  • Surgical Procedures - From July 14th 2020 -  For all surgical and minor surgical procedures, we will provide a COVID-19 test before surgery and the results will be available 48 hours before being admitted to the hospital as part of the safety triage process. In addition to the enhanced PPE for surgeons, all hospitals will be undertaking extra safety precautions and the theatres will all have appropriate ventilation. 


Our Responsibility


It is our responsibility to provide you with the highest standards of safety and hygiene, so we ask you to help us fulfil our Increased Care Standards by playing your part too. Please respect social distancing when in clinic and arrive on time for appointments to allow us to follow our heightened cleaning schedule.


If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, then please do not come into our clinics. We will happily reschedule your appointment for when you have been symptom free for at least seven days. If you live with other people in your household, please do not come into clinic for 14 days.If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have knowingly come into contact with someone who has, then please do not come into our clinic for 14 days from the date of your positive result.Together we can deliver the highest standard of care, to provide you with peace of mind when undergoing a procedure with us.

Dear Clients, 


In the past few months, the COVID-19 virus has affected all of our lives. It is a hugely challenging time as we adjust to a new way of living.


For some of our colleagues at The Mayfair Harley Clinics / Mayfair MediSpa the biggest challenge has been stepping up to the frontline to care for those most in need. We are immensely proud of all our NHS and care workers and find their collective efforts a true inspiration.


First and foremost, we want to THANK YOU -our clients, employees, friends and family for supporting each other through this difficult time and for working together to keep safe and well at home. We sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding of the exceptional circumstances that have resulted in disruption to your appointments.


 In due course, we will see some easing of the current lockdown restrictions and in preparation for this we will update our website with the new procedures prior to your arrival to our Harley Street and Wigmore Street locations. "New Normal" Covid-19 Infection Prevention Policy

What do you need to know

Our founded-on care approach is at the heart of everything we do, and our priority is the safety of our clients and employees. As such, we will be keeping our clinics temporarily closed to help the national effort to fight the virus and slow down the spread, easing pressure on our hospitals and care workers.


You don’t need to take any action to reschedule your appointment. We will contact you when we are in a position to rebook your procedure. Please rest assured that we are committed to resuming all medical and ongoing laser and  skincare treatments as soon as it is safe to do so.

    Lockdown update 22nd February 2021

    Dear Clients / Patients 


    Following this evening announcement from the Prime Minister, our Harley Street and Wigmore Street branch will fully reopen for all treatments on April 12th 2021. 


    For patients who find it hard to cope with Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and for those anxious about interruptions to their treatment plan, we created a unique patient's support line / online counselling available for you 24/7 during the Lockdown.

    Medically-Related Treatments 


    We recognise that some treatments and services we provide here at Mayfair MediSpa are Medically-Related, and some essential for self-esteem, confidence, and psychological wellbeing. 


    If your Treatment is Medical- Related, or you have been referred to us by your GP, please send an email to our doctor on duty, stating your condition.  E: doctor@mayfairmedispa.co.uk

    Once received, our surgeon will determine full diagnostics and psychological /emotional assessment. If your request is approved, we will be in a position to put you on our PRIORITY LIST and arrange your appointment as soon as possible. Please be aware that our Medical Team is working restrictive hours and on selective days only, and your appointment might fall after March 08th 2021.

    To further support your wellbeing during this long, and we hope final Lockdown, our Doctors and Clinical Therapists got together and created Mayfair Wellness to help you deal with the psychological impact of Lockdown. Please do check the Mayfair Wellness page for further support and available services  https://mayfairmedispa.com/mayfair-wellness



    Please be aware that our online booking diary will be blocked for treatments until April 12th, inclusive. However, you will still be able to use our online booking system to book your virtual consultation or reserve your urgent medical appointment from Monday, March 08th, 2021.
